Hi I'm Brian, my wife Jodie and I just got our 8 week old DS "Nyx"... we have 12 acres in south jersey, no kids and are looking forward to an active dog... we've researched a local trainer that has experience with Mal's and had him over for a brief puppy intro. We'd love any advice you have....

Week 1 update... things are progressing fast... Nyx is learning quick but my hand looks like it went through a meat grinder. So far I've spent $130 in toys, but she prefers the cats brush....

Anyone have any tips on the excessive biting? It seems she's targeting my hands when we play. To the point she'll latch on to my hand, completely ignoring the 14" tug, definitely not an accident.

Personality dependent. If she’s a hardcore land shark playing hurt or hurting her back will exascerbate the problem.
Try correcting once, then ending play time the next time she bites your hand. She’ll figure it out.
