Dog Fight

The Dogbible posted a video on Facebook of a dog being attacked while on-leash by an off-leash dog. It's a little graphic and disturbing, but it can be educational.

Basically, it's probably a good demonstration of what not to do.
Someone responded in a comment with this article from Leerburg on how to break up a dog fight.

That article is definitely educational.
Leerburg wrote:A final note to this article. I have received a great many emails about dog fighting. Many were well meant with ideas of how to use a hose and squirt water on the dog etc., etc., etc. While I appreciate these thoughts, the methods are simply not going to work on the very hard, very tough, working dog.

I know - I've probably said this over and over, but Radar's 1st trainer tried the water bottle - ONCE.
Radar took it away from her immediately.

Would that actually work on a dog intent on killing? I have no idea, but I'm curious. Have you seen evidence of it's efficacy?
I know where you live so I know a more effective option isn't easy like it is for us in other parts of the US, so maybe it's just your best option.

Cool, that's interesting and a nice back up option if I couldn't carry my regular "daily accessory" lol, for whatever reason.

Something is better than nothing. A taser is a good idea.
