Tell us about yourself: We are city folks turned country homesteaders on an 80ac
plot of land. Currently we raise chickens and pigs with plans to add goats and maybe a cattle one day. I am w/o a dog right now and doing research before getting my next 'hired hand' :)

Seeing as how typically the big bad Internet has a focus on negative responses I wanted to drop a quick positive THANK YOU to everyone who runs this forum and the info that others have added. It seems like most of (most, so expect questions :D ) what I am looking for has already been asked and I just need to search for it. I wish I had found y'all years ago.

Dog food -- check
Training -- check
DNA testing -- check
Breeders -- check (at least a lot of good info and bread crumbs)
etc. etc.

Thank everyone very much. I am glad this site exists and has all these old posts still around.
