Welcome to the forum!

Tell us a little more about Sylvia. Where'd she come from? What's her job?

Sylvia was born in January of 2018 in Indian Trail, North Carolina at Queen City K9 Services. She was donated to me by my fraternity brother, Ted. I started bonding with her at 9 weeks old. She recently spent 7 weeks at a "board and train" program for her training as my PTSD Service Dog. (I am a former SLCFD firefighter/EMT-B/HAZMAT Specialist). Sylvia is my first Dutchie as well as the first dog that I have got as a puppy. She joins Spot, a ten year old plus black lab mix rescue.

Tell us about yourself: Sharing life with Bramble Dutch Shepherd mix (?) and Casper Whippet/Pit Bull (????) mix

She's lovely. If she's like Bramble that innate intuition is a real edge in service work.

What tasks does she do or will do? Bramble only has 1 task that she is totally consistent on. She alerts to my son's migraines, which really wasn't trained. She just naturally alerts.

She has started to locate him on command, and she will also walk on a dual leash which assists him with transitions. We've had to push off some service training to work on dog reactivity, though.

Have you encountered any issues with having a high drive dog doing service work?

Sorry, just so excited to talk to a service dog handler with a Dutch Shepherd.
