Missing my dogs
Knowing full well that the dogs are at the kennel still... when I got home from Las Vegas I opened the door with all the anticipation of seeing my four-legged friends!

Re: Missing my dogs
It would be very sad to come home and walk in the house and there were no dogs there. I bet they will be so happy to see you when you pick them up today.

Re: Missing my dogs
You scared me! I saw a post with missing and dog in the subject line and my heart sank.
But you just meant that you were not greeted by the front door. Ah. Oh. Yeah. Empty, isn't it?
Maybe you should not go to Vegas anymore?
(How was it? Are you rich now?)

Re: Missing my dogs
Went to the kennel to pick them up and they were dragging the employee trying to get to me!!
Las Vegas was okay. Nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there. Flew in Wednesday evening and the first seminar started at 10 a.m. and ran until 5 p.m. The rest of the week it started at 8 or early and ran until after 6. Then the invitation only events started... Even Sunday morning stuff started at 8 a.m.
I did get to see "O" (Cirque du Soleil) and it was REALLY good.
I lost 100% of my gambling budget though.... being down only a $1 isn't so bad.

I went for a vet conference for a whole week and was the only one who went to the 8 o'clock meetings. Sessions until 5pm, nap til 7:30pm, amazing dinner and then close the clubs at 4:00am. Back to sessions at 8. Can't imagine why it eventually caught up with me. Ahhhhhh, my younger days. I imagine it would be worse now. I probably wouldn't even want to get up from the nap

I love Cirque! Haven't seen them for a while, but they're one of my all time favorite things to do. Glad you got to see the show .icvanstra wrote: did get to see "O" (Cirque du Soleil) and it was REALLY good.
Nice to have your doggers back, too...

I've seen Cirque du Soleil on two continents and six States ... I'll even adjust my travel dates some to be sure to see a show!
I much prefer their non-travelling shows, then their tent show, next their stadium shows and least of all their music based shows. I've seen some of their "tent" shows as stadium shows...they are good, but never as good as the "tent" shows that travel around.
Could have easily seen Mystere while I was out there. Glad I didn't! Talked to a couple of people and the show was half empty (explains the ticket prices of 1/3 the other major CdS shows) and the performers were just not into "it" from what I was told.
---
Most importantly!! ...the dogs have been GLUED to my side.

@ Christie - I started feeling a cold come on before I left. By Wednesday I was throwing pills down my throat like a drug addict on skid row... The flight was miserable. I now fully understand why baby's cry so much on take off and landing. It took me a couple of days before I could finally get my ears to fully "pop."
AMAZING what forcing yourself to power-through the cold will do for you. After that conference schedule and receptions/parties I'm feeling better on day six of my cold than any previous cold in probably 25 years.
...but I am tired!!!
