4th of july / fireworks

Post by icvanstra »

Thankfully one of my two dogs (Cino) has no issues with fireworks.

Fortunately Abigail is doing okay with multiple fans running 24/7 and radio/TV on 24/7. As long as there is white-noise going she does well.

Tell us about yourself: Had a GSD, am getting a DS puppy in a few weeks. Compete in agility, obedience, and cross train in tons of stuff. Found out about this site from the DS Rescue yahoo list.

I feel for you. My dog never had noise issues, and I know it's a major bummer to have to deal with this issue.

Hope it goes smoothly for your one pooch this weekend!

Abby didn't used to have the problems with noise. But they have increased with age.

I just have to be cognizant of it and keep her inside (or get her inside as soon as I hear a neighbor set something off). Even with the nice weather we are having I will close the house up the next several nights.

Seems like she does worse with the whistling fireworks with a pop than she with the stuff that goes boom.
