November is DSF Training Month

Post by centrop67 »

Got a training story?

I am looking for funny, serious, in between, and/or aha moments (failures and successes) in your training.

Why? Because, I am calling November the official "training" month for the Dutch Shepherd Forum.

I have a great success story!
My teenager :yernuts:  managed to lose my damn truck keys. Best I could figure they were somewhere out in the yard or in the shed. I grabbed En, took her to the top of the drive, shoved my work truck keys against her snot box and told her SEARCH. She tore off in her random BS pattern that I haven't bothered to work on. It was night time. I wasn't hopeful at all. I took a big sip of clear liquid Parental Acceptance Booster. About a minute later, just as I was about to yell for my damn dog and go back in for the night, I heard my keys. They were getting closer! Then En appeared out of the dark!!!

I will have to think about this. I’m sure I have a story but not one is coming to mind.
I can say we need to work on Rogue not eating cake off the plate that was on the table. I called my daughter to come have a slice, and when I turned back around, I caught Rogue with the whole piece in her mouth. Too gobbles and it was gone.
