Vet: "This is as aggressive as I've ever seen for a puppy this young"
**3 days later**
New dog trainer: "She's pretty well balanced - not human or dog aggressive. She can just get frustrated easily. Your vet clearly doesn't see and lot of Dutchies."
I found this amusing.

- Tell us about yourself: This is my first Dutchie. I’ve trained field trial labs and a Malinois in IPO. Lost my Mal to cancer at age 11 and wasn’t really looking for a pup yet.
I got a call from my old training director letting me know he had just the pup for me: A Dutchie...
It just sort of happened and now I have a brindle Fur Missile living with me. His name is Jaguar; Jag for short.
Re: Vet vs Trainer Assessment
If it isn’t a Labradoodle, a peka-something or a purse dog and didn’t roll over and pee everywhere they must be aggressive right?
Many vets just don’t get exposure to working line dogs.

Nick, thought you might like to know that Jade’s uncle “Marquez” aka Dusty, took 3rd place at the Dutch Shepherd IGP World Championship this weekend with Les. He also received the Helpers Choice award for most powerful dog. It was a great time!

I've been loosely following via facebook! That is really cool to hear.
How's Jag coming along? Aylin is no Labradoodle, but we are really happy with her progress. Its been a a lot of headache and fun!

Jag is doing well. I took him with me every day to the DS World Championship. He got lots of extra attention like all puppies do
Jag got to play with another 16 month old Dutchie from the De Las Flores kennel and those two WORE EACH OTHER OUT!!!! It was soooo funny. The older pup Kuma is a flash of lightening fast and they were in & out of the water a lot.
We are still interviewing clubs to make sure we find the right training fit for us.

Re: Vet vs Trainer Assessment
I changed vets twice. I lucked out and found one that had worked with the police department in her old town. She's savvy, and made sure to put a big orange sheet in the front of her file for the techs.
