I am happy to announce the Northwoods "E" Litter, born July 5, 2013.
This is a UKC registered litter.
The E litter was a repeat breeding of Northwoods First in Line (AKA Atlas) and ThunderHawk's Siege Ballista (AKA Balis). (Northwoods D litter)
Atlas is out of Northwoods A litter - Jaxx Vom Kelterhoff, Sch3 x Nicky's Willow Leif, PSA1
Atlas is 9 1/2 yrs of age and served as a USPCA full patrol K9 until his retirement. He was named the top apprehension dog for 3 consecutive years and qualified for USPCA Nationals many years. Recently, I obtained his PSA PDC just to put him back on the field. Atlas is a large male (about 80 pounds) with great work ethic. He ranked OFA good hips at 8 years of age.
Balis is out of ThunderHawk's second foundation litter - Titan des Crocs De L'Olympe, FR3 x CJ from Louvroo Home, PSA1
Balis is a petite female with very strong prey drive. She also has a nice, natural defensive side but is very stable. Like most Titan offspring, Balis is extremely biddable and eager to interact with her family - but indifferent to other people and dogs. Balis's PennHIP is 0.30/0.25 - placing her in the top 10% of the Dutch Shepherd breed.
The previous Atlas/Balis breeding produced 4 puppies. All puppies have tremendous confidence, great agility & excellent drive. All have excellent work ethic, but also an off switch and are very stable.
1 female (Dori) currently in training for SAR. I expect her to top out at about 55-60#
1 male (Luc) currently in training for the NY Hwy Patrol. He will probably reach about 50-55#
1 male (Dutch) went to a home companion home. I'm guess he'll reach about 70#
1 male (Darius) still residing with me in training for full patrol K9. He will be about 55#.
There are 6 puppies in this litter. I have not posted the litter until now because I didn't know what my needs would be for the police dogs that we raise. I am planning to keep at least one female for myself, and a few to raise. However, I don't need to raise 6 on top of the others I currently have here. There are 3 males and 3 females total in this litter.
Pictures of some of our previous dogs can be seen at https://www.facebook.com/groups/NWK9.THK9/. Hopefully I will get puppy pictures posted soon!
