I was really struggling with the term: macrosmia. If you do a search for the term in Google all that comes up is fetal macrosmia which is a baby born over 8 lbs.

This made it really difficult to understand the article - not that research papers need to be written to be understood by the general public.

However, if you look up macrosmatic it clears things up - a little. It means an animal or species with a highly formed sense of smell.

So, I guess the paper is about how the shape and size of the nasal cavity contributes to smell acuity as much as the size of the sensory gland.

wow, that was very interesting !! Thanks for posting. Sadie has a lot of air movement in her head HAHAHAHA

I have always watched Sadie sniff and its quite funny but with a purpose.

It is more in depth of just the size and shape, but in general, yes.
