Flying
Hendrix is flying back to his breeder tomorrow for some specialized training I don't have the resources to provide. He has allergies here to what I think is a grass somewhere in our yard. He usually gets 1 doggie Benadryl once a day during acute attacks or rarely twice a day if it's really bad. Anyways, I asked his vet about Benadryl and flying and since he's been having a spike recently due to the bipolar weather. She told me it wasn't an ACE type drug which is what the airlines ban, so what I do with it my choice. It doesn't put H to sleep; if he's sufficently tired it makes him groggy but still normally responsive to noise, sounds, and things, and if he isn't tired he just acts normal. I'm on the fence about skipping his regular does since he flies out in the afternoon right in his prime allergy attack hour and for the possible benefit of any additional sleepy time while flying. Thoughts?
