17 week female

Post by asheleylane »

Up for resale - Vrijheid's Gritta (Vrijheid's Borius IPO3 x Arca PH1 ml Obj ml) 17 weeks old, UKC registered, initial owner is selling due to family and work change (and his joining of an "SV" Schutzhund club).
Sire Vrijheid's Borius IPO3, PennHip .36/.36 (Leiru FR3 x Dana SchH3 FH) Dam is Arca (Steijvers) PH1 ml Obj ml, OFA Excellent/El normal, PennHip .25/.35 (Nicky Verlee PH1 x Vedor Steijvers)
Gritta ,from what I saw before and according to her owner, has excellent social nature, nerves and drives. I have not seen her since she was 8 weeks old, as she is in Canada at this time. She will come back to me (in Utah) in 1-2 weeks unless I arrange for direct transfer before then. If sold directly, she is $1500 (includes shipping)

That's a darn shame Asheley. I know you chose your homes with care. And I also know sh** happens, but it still is a shame.
I hope the right home comes along soon.

Yeah, it is part of breeding though. I would be almost excited to take her back if we weren't raising 2 pups at the moment! And it's not as though I have a big kennel setup. But it seems to always work out great in the end...

Needing new home.... again
Seriously, the 2nd home was interviewed, said they would give her time to "grow up" and just wanted a dog they could play Schutzhund with. Four weeks later....
Same sire/dam info. as above add: now 6 months old, drivey and very social with people.

Also selling Vrijheid's Griselda - from same litter, raised here with me from birth and started basic training for Ringsports.
Please contact me for more detailed information - both puppies $1200 plus shipping costs, guaranteed healthy, UKC registered, and should have aptitude for various types of work (perhaps some types more than others:) Contact email from website http://www.dutchshepherds.us or by phone at 801-209-0481 (leave a message)

Tell us about yourself: Lifelong animal person- I professionally trained horses before my children were born. New to DS's, but not new to high drive working dogs. :) Currently have a 1 1/2 yr old DS, Koenig, and a 2 yr old English Pointer Sara. They are both rescues. Oh yes, I work at a multi species non-profit animal rescue, on Bainbridge Island, WA

That really sucks, I'm sorry to hear that!

SV Schutzhund clubs are a breed specific club- in this case, exclusive to GSD's.

Oh, you can do Schutzhund with Dutch Shepherds - lots of them do, regardless of the club type you can still get titles. In this case I think the guy wanted an excellent from the get-go, competition Schutzhund dog, and isn't willing to work with her for a while, even though I specifically discussed his expectations and he said he didn't need a high-level competition dog.

Well, dang! I hate it when a pup goes from place to place like that in such a short time. I know you do. Sure hope she gets some place soon and forever!

Schutzhund is one of the various protection sports that the DS can do.
