Dutchie available in Michigan

There is a Dutch Shepherd that needs a home in Belleville, MI. The current owner says this: I took her in to keep her out of the local shelter. she has dog issues and has attacked my pug several times. My husband is very upset and I feel I can no longer safety have her around. Very dominant female , but in the right home a wonderful dog.She does not stand a chance at a shelter. thank - you
The woman is willing to foster her until a home is found but I thought networking here or hooking her up with NADSR might help. I also posted on the NADSR facebook page where you can see her picture (its too big for the forum and I don't know how to resize it) Beautiful dog and looks so much like my girl. Let me know what else I can do. Unfortunately, I am not in Michigan any more but have a lot of contacts there.

I saw that photo, she's a good looking dog. Did they tell you how old, or where she is originally from?

I don't know anything more about her. She just came through another list I am on and I contacted the owner. I gave her the contact info for Trudy from NADSR so I am not sure what if anything has come of it.

Hello--

I live in Kitchener, ON, and would be interested in more info about this female in Michigan.

I've been looking for a hiking and running companion, so hoped to find a female 1-3 years old.

I don't have kids or other animals and work from home, have a fenced yard, and large working breed experience. I'm not looking for an extremely high drive dog, but would would consider agility training for a younger one. Ideally a 60-80 pound girl would fit my existing gear.

Tera Byte you should contact the North American Dutchie Rescue and fill out an application with them, they will be able to match you up with a dog that fits your description.

I just recently learned that somebody in Michigan wants to rehome her female. But I don't have that information on me at the moment. I'm at work.

I'd also be willing to buy a young adult from a good breeder who does all the necessary health testing on the parents. It's just that with a puppy you need to wait two years for the growth plates to close before you can do any serious running or hiking.
