my brother brought his Japanese girlfriend home for the holidays... she fell in love with my girls and took a ton of photos... one of her friends was asking what Shylah was on Facebook (thanks google translate!)... took me a minute to find it but I linked them to the Japanese Wiki page for the DS entry... but I noticed, that there's a picture that is definitely NOT a DS... and then got curious and started checking other language's pages...
Catalan
Spanish
Japanese
Russian
... all have photos that as far as I can tell are not dutch... I've never tried editing a wiki page, let alone a foreign one, any way we can get them changed/fixed?

Re: Wikipedia Entries
im actually learning russian at the moment (one of the reasons ive been a bit too busy to post recently) and found this interesting, the dog in the header for the ru.wiki looks pretty dutch, where that tightly curled tail came from i have no clue however:) atleast they have more definitive pictures representative under Разновидности or varieties.
as for editing the page i havent a clue, would have to look into it.

the tight curled tail one is the one I saw on the Japanese site... it immediately made me think Kai Ken (since it was Japanese)... I was surprised too to see some of the pages have much better pictures than the English version

Interesting. Personally, if someone showed me that picture I would say mix. But the pic also reads "Netherlands" I would be interested to hear other opinions. The curl in the tail and the short muzzle?

Re: Wikipedia Entries
A little digging on the photo... It was shot by an American Photographer named Jason Paluck and put into the public domain on wiki as a Dutch Shepherd, which is where these articles pull from. The dog is a rescue. He has stated on his site that it came from the Hurricane Katrina aftermath. So, actual ancestry is unknown and the photographer just self identified the breed based on his idea of appearance, like so many new people do with a brindle shelter dog they're trying to learn about.
