Tell us about yourself: Lifelong animal person- I professionally trained horses before my children were born. New to DS's, but not new to high drive working dogs. :) Currently have a 1 1/2 yr old DS, Koenig, and a 2 yr old English Pointer Sara. They are both rescues. Oh yes, I work at a multi species non-profit animal rescue, on Bainbridge Island, WA

I have to focus at the point where I think Koe will catch the item, hold camera (focused) at that point, and somehow toss the ball/frisbee/squirrel to the right location, and then I'll get 5 or 6 shots of him catching. Maybe 1 will be in focus. :) It takes practice!

I have a fairly high speed camera. I focus on the dog, then throw the toy taking a bunch of sequential shots, which takes a pic every "step". I have actually taken them and made a video out of it. In essence a slow mode video.
One of the simplier ones

Tell us about yourself: I adopted a Dutch Shepherd mix (without knowing what she was) from the SPCA here in Victoria BC and am now trying to learn everything I can about this breed. My husband and I work from home most of the time so I thought it was time to get a puppy! We have his 2 boys here half the time and we wanted a nice family dog.

Sugar looks like a miniature Dutch Shepherd with floppy ears, and has every ounce of DS traits in her little body!

I hope to learn from other DS owners and share doggy experiences.
Location: Victoria BC

Exactly why I'm able to get 90+ pictures of Koenig catching stuff. He loves it, and I'm going to be playing fetch with or without the camera, so it may as well come with. :)

Tell us about yourself: I am a dutch shepherd and doberman enthusiast and will hopefully be adopting my first Dutch this week from NADSR. I don't have any dogs yet, but hope to have one of each soon

Brutus loves sticks as long as someone is holding them. I am holding that stick over head, about 7ft in the air for reference. I've never seen a dog jump as much as him.

Tell us about yourself: I have had a DS for almost a year. Gwen and I are considering participating in PSA and or possible Ring Sport. I also have a Great Dane. I have grown up around working GSDs and my last GSD was a working K9 officer. I am all about dogs and animals in general and want to learn as much as I can about training.

get used to it Nick. Gwen is about as springy as I have ever seen a dog... (more like a cat if you ask me). I am still trying to get a picture of her in the air or jumping over Izar (great dane) but I am just too slow... I keep trying though..

All,

Just got back from vacation at 3 a.m. (Netherlands time) and 9 p.m. local time ... a little tired and moving a little slow.

Closing the contest for the month of April. I'll get the voting up in a few days...
