Endeavor

It’s been a very busy year and a half or so. Endeavor is getting old. She’s lost a little energy. We haven’t done any tracking in that timeframe, either. Despite the gap in training, Endeavor got on a cold track and pulled about 200 yards through an open field of tall grass with no visible sign of the deer I’d shot at sunset the evening before. She led my girlfriend and I downhill into a briar and scrub oak thicket that was absolutely impenetrable in places. I saw sign as soon as we got across the field. I couldn’t believe she performed so well! We tracked for over an hour, but couldn’t make it though the densest parts of the thicket which was, of course, where it ran.
So, despite not getting the recovery, I wanted to share that Endeavor did a phenomenal job after a prolonged period of no real training.
