2012 NADSR Calendar Photo Submission is on!

Post by cake73 »

:ds:

Dear Dutch Shepherd Enthusiast,

It's time, it's time, it's time!!!

We are now taking submissions for the 2012 North American Dutch Shepherd Rescue Calendar!

Photos are slowly starting to come in and I am pleased to say that many are of dogs that have never before been in the calendar vote.

If you have caught your Dutch Shepherd(s) doing wonderful things (and who of us hasn't), then share it with the world and help support NADSR. This is the time to show off your dog and help those dogs that continue to show up in shelters or are turned away by un-wanting owners.

Please visit http://www.dutchshepherdrescue.org/calendar.html for more information and a submission form.
A form is required for each picture.
It is okay to simply type your initials in the "signature" line of the form.
Pictures can be sent via email or snail mail (snail mail address upon request).
Please, read the general rules on the form to ensure that your photo is eligible for the vote.

We are looking for Dutch Shepherd photos that would fit into one of the following categories:
Police K9
Protection Sport - Suit
Protection Sport - Sleeve
Search and Rescue
Agility
Herding
Flyball
Leisure
Puppy
Rescue
Long Coat
Rough Coat

Please fill out one form for each photo you submit.
You can submit each photo to a maximum of 2 categories.

So, if you have a picture of a rescued Dutch Shepherd learning agility equipment???
Enter it in BOTH - rescued DS AND agility!

If you have an awesome photo that didn't get in last year - try again!!
The slate is wiped clean.
But remember, photos will not be automatically recycled.

If your dog did win a category last year we ask that you don't summit to that category again this year.

To get an idea of photo quality and composition, please check out the 2011 NADSR Calendar winners in the photo section of our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/NADSR.DSRescue) or on the US Dutch Shepherd Forum (http://www.dutchshepherdforum.com/viewforum.php?f=52).

The deadline for submission of photos is October 10th, so you have plenty of time to get busy, find those awesome pictures, and get them submitted!

Voting is expected to take place in late October or early November. We will post with voting information when the polls are ready.

We expect to have the NADSR 2012 Calendar available by Thanksgiving!

Any questions? Please contact Cheryl at calendar@dutchshepherdrescue.org

Thank you,

NADSR Board of Directors

Tell us about yourself: I adopted a Dutch Shepherd mix (without knowing what she was) from the SPCA here in Victoria BC and am now trying to learn everything I can about this breed. My husband and I work from home most of the time so I thought it was time to get a puppy! We have his 2 boys here half the time and we wanted a nice family dog.

Sugar looks like a miniature Dutch Shepherd with floppy ears, and has every ounce of DS traits in her little body!

I hope to learn from other DS owners and share doggy experiences.
Location: Victoria BC

Crap. Marjolein's digging through her photos...tons of great shots of her DSs doing just about everything a DS can do.
