My personal opinion 
is that different kinds of motors have different frequencies, and it's only certain frequencies that really bother dogs. There's just something about vacuume motors and their specific sounds that they don't like. Just IMO...
With Sadie and the stove fan...they're so freaking smart, ain't they? They make associations with the speed of light (cooking eggs vx pancakes).
Geyser gets so excited whenever I get mixing bowls out, and stands right next to me as I make any kind of batter, since she knows from experience that she gets to lick the bowls
