Re: August 2011 Photo Contest: hot
Marco cut his right front paw
on Thursday and hasn't been to the dog beach this weekend
, i.e. no hot sand = no socks pics. But we have some nice pics from earlier this week, "pre-cut" so to speak, when we were swimming in a local park with salt water lagoons. See thread "Marco cooling off".

- Tell us about yourself: Almost 50, and my fiancee' and I adopted a dog from Forever Home Sanctuary in Knotts Island NC. We think he is at least part DS, and have had him for only a few days. He will chase a ball until he drops, and we are thinking about Dock Dogs to keep him busy!

We took Gabriel to the First Landing State Park here in Virginia Beach to see how he did with fetching water toys...he did great. It was hot and he enjoyed the cool water. It's funny, in this picture he looks like a lab in the face, sometimes he looks like he has pit mixed in.

Now that things have cooled off in much of the United States ... looks like the photo entries have slowed down as well.

Cooled off?
You mean that is it 107 instead of 112? (Day 63 of triple digit heat since June first.)

We can finally be outside training dogs again now that it's cooler - the humidity breaking helped alot. So less computer time.
Plus, agility trial season is starting up big time here. The last run of the outdoor trials.
