This will be my new boy soon. My first dutch!! I am adopting Odin from NADSR. He is currently being fostered in Michigan by a great family that treated him for heartworm. He is ok now and ready for his forever home! He is 5-7 years young and my husband and I decided he will be 6 and his birthday will be the day he arrives in our home.
I want to thank everyone at NADSR for all their help - especially Trudy and Christie and of course everyone behind the scenes. Christie is arranging transporting now. Also, thank you to Sami (foster mom) and vet that treated him.

Welcome to the forum Barbara!! You will love reading all of the stories on here, and we will love hearing about Odin's transition. He is a very lucky boy to have found himself in such a great forever home!

Additionally - if any of you forum folks are traveling or live in the area, we are looking to transport Odin as soon as we can get it arranged. He is going from Fowlerville, MI to Scranton, NY. Anyone wanna help?? Lets help him get home for Christmas.

Hi and thanks for all the congrats!! We are going to have fun with this furry boy. I also have a 2yr old female mix breed (Dakota), who by the way is top in intelligence for being a mutt and 4 indoor cats. Here is a pic of Dakota with her buddy Harley.

Ohhh, that is soo cute. I sure wish my cat and dog would be that friendly! At best they tolerate and ignore each other. No touching is the cat's rule...or even getting too close!

Ummm....yeah, geography apparently is a very weak point for me I meant PA.

I asked a trucker friend of mine if he could help but he is waiting for a load in Jacksonville, FL.

Not knowing what Dakota is, we did her DNA (lol) and it came back Airedale Terrier, Norwegian elkhound, Afgan hound and great dane. She is super smart (not as smart as a DS) and very sweet.

Will post losts of pics as soon as Odin gets here.
