It's 2 wks today that Odin arrived in our lives and we could not be happier. He seems to be adjusting nicely. His sit/stay are getting better every day. We're working on "leave it" now. When he looks at me with his big brown eyes and bats those lashes, I just want to hug him. He's saying, "what do you want me to do Mama".
His "drop it" is horrible .

He definitely has had some type of training, we just cannot figure out what. His heel is amazing. Really well behaved in crate. Recall is pretty good, but not solid yet. Just seems rusty overall on commands. We are also giving him alot of structure, which he needs. Oh, and on walks, nothing thus far bothers him, i.e. squirrels, yippy little dogs that are tied out front. No reaction other than his ears standing up straight. Perhaps, I shouldn't look a gifted horse in the mouth, no?

He doesn't seem to be interested in toys, or I haven't found one he likes. I tried playing tug with him and really no interest, and ball playing is ok. Weird. He seems to respond better when there are treats involved...hmm..... He does love his antlers and his goughnut stick.

Anyway, just wanted to give a little update.

Fantastic !!!!! It looks like you have a great foundation. I do love it when Thalie gives me the "big brown eyed" look.

Sadie didnt have much toy drive at the beginning either but I think seeing Thalie play tug helped, Sadie has a HUGE toy drive now. Thats great he is pretty good about stuff.

Have you tried squeaky toys? Or a treat ball if he likes food?

Good news is always nice to hear when it comes to rescues. Thank you again for taking this step.
