Great fun.
Hope we will have some snow to this winter, our dogs love it and for Joep it would be the first time in his live.

- Tell us about yourself: I adopted a Dutch Shepherd mix (without knowing what she was) from the SPCA here in Victoria BC and am now trying to learn everything I can about this breed. My husband and I work from home most of the time so I thought it was time to get a puppy! We have his 2 boys here half the time and we wanted a nice family dog.
Sugar looks like a miniature Dutch Shepherd with floppy ears, and has every ounce of DS traits in her little body!
I hope to learn from other DS owners and share doggy experiences. - Location: Victoria BC

Re: First time in snow
Nice pics! Wait till we get our real snow here in NYS. (We're so looooong over-due.) Odin will become an official snow dog. Get your video cam ready.
With Thor's first real snow (he'd been a southern boy), he was like a kid who'd been let loose in a candy factory. Lots of videos of him. Including doing searches in a foot (or more?) of snow, "helping" me make a snow man...and putting his "control" to the test before attacking the carrot-ladden snowman. Great fun.

Re: First time in snow
My location is the snow belt capitol of the U.S. The snow...I don't mind. It's the stinkin' wind chill factors and ice. (I used to live on the coast of Maine, so I've either gotten old enough to be more effected or the coast of Maine has nothing on Syracuse area winters.) We only have a little snow and ice right now, but last night, the winds woke us up...sounded like a freight train coming through the house...worried about the pines uprooting. Even asked the husband to check the stockade fencing before letting the boy out for his 3:30 a.m. constitutional.
Wicked.
Wicked.
