My camera is now officially, thoroughly, BROKEN.
An suggestions for a new model that's cheap (in case it too, should get broken), and easy for an idiot to use?

Oh NO !!!! That stinks,
There are a ton on the market now, my suggestion is to go and check them out and see what features you want.

Don't know how serious you want your camera to be (auto vs. SLR), but the husband brought me home a Nikon Coolpix, 12.0 megapixels, 4x zoom, 2.7" lcd with TONS of features for around $110--but I've seen them for $80. I don't even begin to use a hint of the features. My only quam is the size...very small...can be hard for me to keep hold of, yet many people like the smaller sizes of things these days.
