Supplement quesions

To try to help with Sugar’s itching, the Vet recommended Omega 3 supplements, preferably Omega 3 Pro Liquid. Vet also said not to use just any kind as the ratio for dogs is different then for people. They were out of the one she was recommending, so I thought I would just get it from their other office. When I went there, the other office was out too, and so they gave me AllerG3 capsules, containing 1000 mg in fish oils (type of fish not listed). Says give 1 per day; can cut capsule open and put the oil on the food, which is what I am doing.

60 in bottle cost $22. For those that buy this kind of supplement, is this a typical price to pay, about $11/month?

Should supplements be given in the morning or evening, or does it matter?

I’d also like to try the coconut oil, and I’m guessing when I get some, I’d give it instead of Omega3, not both?

I also picked up some Benadryl but haven't given her any yet. She is still scratching, but I hate to have to give her medication, and if she is not scratching too much, I'm going to hold off. I'd rather keep it natural if possible. We'll see how the Omega 3 goes...

OK, I just read online that coconut oil does not have omega 3, so both should be given...

I pay about $23 for a 16 oz bottle of Grizzly Salmon Oil, which lasts me about a month between two cats and Geyser.

(Make sure to keep that bottle in the fridge.)
