Here are some pics taken on different days over the past few weeks of our daily walks.

This first one was taken yesterday...we got some sun finally and the crocuses are in bloom.


Here we are on the trail we walk in the mornings




















It runs along side water where ducks live and all kinds of birds are around. I don't know what this is but it looked cool

Very nice terrain. It has everything a dog likes, i.e. high grass and bushes, water, wild life. Perfect.

A Dutch Shepherd has the perfect camouflage coat to blend in, doesn't it?

She ignores the ducks thank godness. It would be a pretty interesting walk every morning if she didn't!

Wow, such beautiful pictures and what a lucky dog! It sure looks like spring there (jealous)!
Although, when spring hits here all my walking trails turn to swamps.

Spring is on its way...been pretty windy the last couple days but the flowers are popping up all over

Now I have to share a very proud moment I had with Sugar today.

While walking on the trail, we rounded the corner where we come alongside the pond area where the ducks are, passing a man and 2 kids. I saw the ducks at the side of the pond, not swimming like they usually are, and they started heading towards us, actually coming up onto the trail. I’ve never seen them do this before. They were maybe 10-15 feet from us, about half a dozen of them. My guess is the kids had been feeding them and they were following them.

I looked down at Sugar, who was on my left, ducks ahead on the right of the trail, and told her to heel. I was not sure how this was going to go down, but hoped for the best. Loose leashed, we walked right by the ducks (who I might add were pretty brave to get that close to us) in a perfect heel!!

After passing by the ducks, Sugar looked up at me, as if to say “I did good, right? That's what you wanted me to do, right?” I was soo proud and told her so, and gave her a treat...ironically it was dried duck, LOL.

I guess she figured dried duck in the hand is better then ducks in the bush (or trail as it may be).
