Was looking at some FB pages and came across a Female Ds in Ga, why is it always GA (or at least it seems like it)?! This was posted monday so I'm not sure if she is even still there. Anyone got any info on her?

I believe she will be pulled and fostered. NADSR has a fb page - you can go there and find out more info.

GA seems to be a hot spot for DS ending up in shelters.

About 3-4 years ago I was contacted by a man who was trying to "help a friend" who was loosing his home in GA and had 19 Dutch Shepherd puppies on the ground ages 8-14 weeks. I told him I would pick up all of them through rescue. 3 days later they told me that they were "so fortunate" and he was able to sell all of them for up to $200 per puppy making over $3000.

So 19 puppies went to unscreened, unknowing homes in GA and since then we have seen a huge uprise in the dogs in shelters. The first surge was 6-10 months after the transaction. Now I assume we are seeing the offspring. There is no guess why hotbeds of dogs occur - but it is infuriating. FL is another example of a horrible place to be if you are a mal or a Dutch....and apparently Chicago is now also.

That is so sad!! too many people think anything and everything is disposable (including animals). I am so glad that we decided to rescue another fur baby!!
