Rescuing this guy Tuesday(mix breed?)

Pulling this guy from a shelter in North Carolina Tuesday. I'm unable to meet him, just going with my gut as it's a 4 hour drive. He's supposedly Dutch shepherd with Australian Cattledog. Opinions? He was picked up as a stray "his time is almost up" according to the shelter. The only back story I was provided(as he is a stray)is that he walks well on a leash, was underfed, and gets along with his pen mate. He's a 10(ish)month old boy. Any name ideas?

thank you for saving him!! nice looking dog and he looks all Dutch to me, but I am no expert. There are experts here that can tell you more.
Good luck and enjoy him cause he will be a blast!!

Looks all DS to me too, but to agree with Barbara, there are better experts on here. The top picture he looks short, maybe its just the angle? But they may have no idea about dutchies so just pick the cattle dog. Its great you are saving him!!

Before anyone else comments, notice that the post is 3 years old. I was excited that Barbara was back, but then I realized she wasn't.
