The weatherman is saying that today is going to be one of the last nice day's around here for awhile. After breakfast I took the dog's over to Williams Creek. These were taken with my cell phone and are untouched...

Cino had a blast trying to find the rocks that I was throwing in the water.

This photo has just a part of Abigail in it...the cell phone camera wasn't fast enough for her...











Not sure what that mark is on his face in this next photo - I'm thinking it is some mud?

Nice! Yeah, Denver has had some amazing 70+ degree weather for the last few weeks, and this week it started snowing, so I think our nice weather is done for the next few months (by nice, I mean hot.... at least we still have sun everyday!!!)

Well I'm off to Breckenridge to to some early season snowboarding... they just opened this weekend!

Not too far from my house. That particular stretch is about an 1/8 mile upstream from the White River.

The eastern side of that stretch is the Monon Trail - a former railroad that has been turned into a greenway. Part of the west side is a park. when the water is low you can get from side to side by crossing over fallen tree's or if you willing to let you feet get a little wet - maybe some rock hopping. Water will rise quickly in this!

A lot of dog owners take their dogs into there and let them run free. Just have to watch for the Park Ranger and for people who don't like dogs... first you don't want a ticket and second you want to keep them happy so they don't call the park ranger. For me, I have to be cautious because Abby can be bitch-bitch agressive.

Further upstream is where I finally broke Cino's refusal to go swimming. He is ball crazy... started by throwing the ball on a sandbar, then a little into the water, then a little further into the water, etc... then finally into a spot that I knew was over his head. Didn't like that one much the first time! Now... a couple of years later I have the reverse problem. I can't keep him out of the water.

What a great place to have so close to home!
