Radar's shelter name was Goofy (I guess based on the ears).
We had picked out a replacement name (for the life of me I can't remember what it was), but my mom saw him move his ears and said he looks like a Radar. That was it - it sounded perfect.
If you follow any of the Facebook groups, you'll know there's at least one other Radar (DS) out there.
My mom was a big fan of M.A.S.H.
