Hey guys,

I rescued a puppy recently and was told he was a cattle dog (heeler)/ DS mix. He’s just about 4 months old and has this habit of biting clothes, fingers, arms, and tails and not letting go unless you make him. It’s always done in play, but he’s not getting the hint from me or my border collie that the behavior is unacceptable... Any suggestions?

The basic thing here is to always redirect with things it's okay to bite. You have to be constantly be prepared for it and consistently replace your fingers with a toy. It sounds simple, and we know it isn't. But, it has to be consistent.
