Just about to adopt

Hi all,
New here, but I’ve been scouring these boards pretty solidly for the last week or so, we’ve been looking for a second dog with the energy and drive to match our psychotic (in a good way!) 1 year old Koolie/Working German shepherd Merlin. We found a rescue 6 month old Dutch Shepherd and saw her yesterday, she and Merlin got on like a house on fire and chased each other around for two hours like lunatics so that was a match. Everything I’ve read has pretty much convinced my wife and I that she would be a great match for our household so we’re going ahead.
Name TBC (She’s currently called Penny, but we’re thinking Frejr or Selkie). She’s being desexed next week and we’ll pick her up on the following Sunday. We’re building our socialisation plan for her first couple of weeks, as she’s moving from a country property to the city (massive dog parks here as well as beaches- where Merlin gets 3 hours off leash per day, which takes the edge off a little...).
We wanted a watch (NOT Guard) dog and her temperament seems to fit the bill very well. The Dutch Shepherd was the only dog that seemed to provide the natural guarding instincts we want and the totally bonkers personality to train that will keep up with our current pup.
This is her and we’re absolutely stoked! Thanks for being such a great resource!
