First Session with New Trainer

We had our first session with the new trainer. It went really well. Bramble decided she would show off and did everything she is trained to do, right on command and with real snap. She even decided she would show off her "out" command, not just for the trainer and I but dropping the ball at my son's feet. Out is something I've worked on without a trainer and thought I hadn't done a very good job of it. She was jumping up more due to excess energy (all these days of rain and mud.)

The approach is a little different. We're using the tone setting as a marker and food and ball as reward....rewards my son can deliver.

The two big challenges in our future are 1) balancing not pulling with needing to pull to track and 2) one of the tasks we need is protection training without protection. Its normally a board and train skill. But board and train means she's not with us.

It’s good news to hear you are happy with the new trainer.
