We recently adopted a 5 month old shepherd mix from a shelter , they told me she was shepherd mix , I was pretty happy since growing up all we had was German shepherds , shepherd mixes and even a shepherd wolf hybrid , but her coloring threw me off a bit so searching online on what she may be mixed with , I came across Dutch shepherds , her sister was a light brown brindle color (honestly it was really hard not to take both home ! ) This little puppers definitely is the definition of hyper which is great for me because my daughter has too much energy and even wears boxers out that we dog sit sometimes . I was just curious if anyone else thought she may be DS mix , or throw some breed ideas out there , either way she’s loved and already beyond spoiled . Please excuse her skinniness , we adopted her a few days ago and she is severely under weight , we’re working on her gaining some weight (some of the pics won’t upload as it says they’re too big )

She is a gorgeous girl. With the saddle and black mask, she's more likely mostly GSD and Malinois.

Thanks ! Yes we are considering a DNA test , I’d just like to know exactly what I’m working with since I keep seeing so many negative stories and comments about the dutch shepherds

I'm curious, did you ever end up getting a DNA test? Your puppy's fur, stature, and something about her eyes make me think there might be some Dutch shepherd in there, but I'm still new to learning to see these sorts of breed differences. My own puppy's little brindle-colored forearms look just like that. He even had lighter fur around his eyes like yours until recently.
