I am sure you could. Quick.... Check out last minute flights.
(welcome Asheley. Feel free to post a short intro and drop on by more often)
Yes, ok, ok - I have to agree with Deb though, if you need to contact me please email directly, as I have trouble getting here on a regular basis!
Asheley Winters, with Dutch Shepherds for >10 years now.... (and that oldest one is racing around the house like a puppy right now!) I am located in Utah, USA - on a suburban farm of sorts and I used to compete some in Schutzhund, now doing French Ringsport.
I am happy to say that the puppies (and guy holding them) under Heather's puppy post are here with me! I guess I better get some new pics now...

Welcome here Asheley.
You had written on the yahoo DSD list that you were 'coming out of lurk mode' so that made us hopeful that you could drop in on occasion and share what is going on in your life and with your brindles.
How old is Dana now? (that's your oldest, right?) My older ones too are mostly still wide open and don't appear or act their age at all. I am secretly hoping that that will rub off on their owner (me)

but I have occasional doubts that it's working.

Definitely getting more involved, with my own dogs and the DS community now that I feel my life is more in order and have more time. But still not enough time to keep up with all the online activities! I have been loving Facebook and being able to easily see photos, being friends with at least 10 puppy owners.
Dana is indeed 10 1/2 and no-one believes it. She is the demo dog for initially teaching people about working dogs, only her back can't handle serious training for competition - the jumps and impacts are too much. But she is NOT content to be a retired Grandma, and is daily bugging Josh to play (because she knows he will;)

You know training principles, right?

You first introduce and reward wanted behavior. Then you gradually start asking more and more. I think this is the introduction phase for this list. I understand you would like to ask for more (and I agree!) but be a little patient.
You could always introduce your own critters

to the rest of the list and maybe you will inspire the rest here?

Oh man, that picture is so cute! When you can see the full picture, her little tail is up in the air, her beautiful brindle shows really well...both girls are so gorgeous (no, I'm not smitten

).
Glad you figured out the posting, Ash. I"ll have to figure it out soon, myself

So... you would like a GSD avatar on a DS board?

(I'm not really mooning you...just can't get over some of these emoticons...at least you use them in a meaningful manner

see what I mean?)

A GSD Ava?
Why not? But I understand you'd rather wait?

Your pup (whichever one) seems to be getting close to ETA though. We can be patient (if we must)

Yes, Geyser is getting really close to being here! (Just pretend there are about a gazillion exclamation points there

...what the hell is a rocklicker? I'm learning new things from these emoticons, I tell you...)
You guys will probably get sick of all the pictuers I'll be wanting to post

.

(I just love that one!)
