There is an old post that I started on HHF website that I would like to bring over to this board.

It dealt with the correct Dutch commands for various activities. I'm hoping to enlist our bilingual members to help out some here to add to that conversation here on DSF.

Looking back at the HHF website I did not find the appropriate Dutch command for Schutzhund search the blinds (revier / voran).

Anyone have a suggestion?

I grew up in a Dutch household and still have trouble rolling my R's.

I'm actually getting in to trouble with my Dutch since I'm training in Germany, starting to use German words for praise like "feine maus" Horrible

For me, it is reversed. I learned my KNPV skills in Holland, and I cannot NOT praise a dog in Dutch. Goed zo jongen, goed zo meisje (good boy, good girl) are rampant on my training field. So much so, that those who train with me have very much copied it . Though they are still having some trouble with my Dutch tirades when things go south. And they all want to learn just that?

yup, good mouse, did I metion that I'm training at a Rottweiler club, where most males have approx. 60 kilo's Not veru much like a cute little mousey

If some of our native Dutch speaking members are willing to help, I will gather audio samples and post them.

My x's dogs name started with a rolling R. Could never say it right so we ended up truncating it or just pronouncing the R. Both of mine were from France and were french commands. The blinds though were just "Search" when we sent them.
