My name is Cheryl, I am a Public Safety Dispatcher for a Northern California Sheriff's Department. I was introduced to the Dutch Shepherd 2 years ago and grown to love and respect the breed.

I have a 4 month old brindle male. I have had him for 2 months and I have not had a moments peace since day one! His name is Hunter. We just started obedience training with the people that train K9's in our area. They are awesome people and after only 2 sessions he has learned so much and has developed so much. He is extremely active and demanding of time and attention (he's worse than a 2 yr old kid!) but he is also very loving and affectionate. He hasn't figured out yet that you can love without biting but we are working on that. He has a memory like a steel trap and I am trying to decide if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

Welcome!

What puppy doesn't want to be mouthy? You don't want o squash it, but at the same time want to have arms that are not all messed up, or hole in your pants, shirt, etc... With Cino at that stage I had replacements everywhere in my house. Used them to redirect that energy into a toy rather than my ears, arms, face, legs..
