Tell us about yourself: I was introduced to the Dutch Shepherd breed during my time as an Army veterinary technician working with Military Working Dogs. I fell in love with the breed and by pure chance happened to meet a DS in a local rescue who was a police K9 washout and was up for adoption. We adopted Zodiac right away and she has been an important part of our family ever since. We currently compete in Rally-Obedience and participate in Agility.

Tell us about yourself: I adopted a Dutch Shepherd mix (without knowing what she was) from the SPCA here in Victoria BC and am now trying to learn everything I can about this breed. My husband and I work from home most of the time so I thought it was time to get a puppy! We have his 2 boys here half the time and we wanted a nice family dog.

Sugar looks like a miniature Dutch Shepherd with floppy ears, and has every ounce of DS traits in her little body!

I hope to learn from other DS owners and share doggy experiences.

Tell us about yourself: Had a GSD, am getting a DS puppy in a few weeks. Compete in agility, obedience, and cross train in tons of stuff. Found out about this site from the DS Rescue yahoo list.

Fantastic pic! (I've always wanted a ferret, but I think it would make me a bit too nuts, the way they get into everything...)

Tell us about yourself: Have rescued and trained dogs for most of my life, rescued high drive, aggressive dogs and gave them a job to do.

I currently have a dutch shepherd I am training dual purpose and PSA (one of Katrina's pups)

Haha, they're definitely real! One of the first things we taught Zodiac is that animals inside the house are off limits and thankfully she picked up on it very quickly. The ferrets even chase her and try to play with her and she's always gentle with them.

It can definitely be annoying at times but it's worth it to see their hilarious antics!

I love this pic!! I especially love how the ferrets are contemplating how to get into that package! I could probably get my dogs to sit still, and provide something entertaining for the ferrets....but my cats are completely unreasonable!

Haha, I've learned to just work around what my cat wants to do. She likes to lay on the tree skirt so rather than trying to pose her I just waited until she was laying there on her own, then posed everyone else around her.

I love how the ferrets are inspecting the present. They sure are curious! You have such a fun group of fuzzy family members! They make me smile so big. I love your Christmas card.

I'm sure they are fun! Those ferrets just make me giggle! I have to wonder what other things their curiosity leads them to. You have the best animal family. They make for great Christmas cards!
