Tell us about yourself: 42 male in Oakland, CA. Rescued Theo in March of 2012 and haven't looked back. He is strong, stubborn, and too smart for his own good. I am fortunate enough to work from home so spend every day with the boy. I have only seen one other DS in person so wanted to connect with others who have these amazing dogs.

Hi all. Happy to be here. Wish there were more DS near by. Nice seeing all these beautiful pups. 14 month old Theo would love to play with them and conspire!

My puppy a couple months ago. He's now 18 months old. He's getting to be a really big dog. Not sure when he'll be done growing.

Tell us about yourself: Had a GSD, am getting a DS puppy in a few weeks. Compete in agility, obedience, and cross train in tons of stuff. Found out about this site from the DS Rescue yahoo list.

Tell us about yourself: Artist, Mother, Equestrienne, Educator, Homesteader wannabe, dog-lover. Not counting my current DS, I have had 2 GSDs and 3 rescued mixed-breeds. All of these dogs were rescues, except for my childhood GSD, who was a gift from my parents when I was 7, and my current DS who I bartered artwork for from the breeder. Maiyou, one of my current dogs, is a Pitbull/New Guinea Singing Dog of 13 years old. Still very active and "Young" in nature. I now also have a DS named Mokume, (pronounced "Moh-koo-meh") or "Moko" for short. Newest member of our pack is Freyja, a random mixed hound I rescued during a horseback trip in the middle of a state forest.

Tell us about yourself: DS and Mal foster newly approved aug'12 by NADSR and ABMCR. high-functioning Autistic in nyc/hamptons in my 60's. Rescued the smartest dog i had ever seen off nyc street in 2000. Tracedog's intelligence exceeded by multiples my judgement that day. My first [and only as of 10/2012] dog turned out to be a DS, perhaps with a touch of something else, but attention to detail, behavioral traits, and physical habits, movement, and skill identical to DS. But MUCH more intellectual ability. supremely confident in all settings, fearless, very outgoing and social with people and friendly with dogs. Seldom apart in over 12 years, Trace Dog was the most important relationship of my adult life; he was my partner. This was Trace Dog's last visit to the inlet to North Sea Harbor near the eastern end of Long Island - last fall as he was turning 12yo. He had become much more talkative in the year leading up to his death this July. I had picked him up off the streets of lower Manhattan at the age of 6 months and he became the most significant relationship of my life other than my parents. I will miss him always.

Man, this is gonna be one difficult contest! There are so many darling pics, and others that are just great to see...

And, I just love being able to put faces to the names!!! We should do more of this :mrgreen:

:o I don't pose a lot and when working dogs, I am the one with the leash, not the camera. Never intentionally hiding, but you're not the first one to say this, and it surprises me.

I agree! I love putting faces to the names, and decided I should 'introduce' myself. Have no illusions of really competing in this month's contest (too many really good ones) but thought I'd say "hello" this way.

Thanks to all who posted this month! It is great to 'meet' you.
