My Dutch Shepherd is so smart that....
He can unzip zippers!! He unzipped my daughter's back pack, carefully removed her lunch bag, unzipped her lunch bag, and ate what was left inside. Very polite!!
No destruction of the back pack or lunch container. Who knew he had such a talent? He is always surprising us.

Tyson is currently mastering the task of untying rope toys instead of chewing right through them... He's doing very well! LOL He's very precise!!

HAHAHAHA that is so funny!! Sadie needs lessons, she just takes everything out and rips open the bags and leaves trails all over the place.

- Tell us about yourself: Howdy,
We are a family of rescues, (yeah, me included), in Southern California. My wife and I currently have two dogs, a Golden Retriever/ GSD mix by the name of Morgan, and our DS mix(?), Dinga Roo. We had never even heard of a Dutch Shepherd before until we were stalked by this nice lady in the pet store who asked us if Roo was a DS. Dang if that lady wasn't on to something. I just found this site, so here we are....

Roo can "shuck" the wrappers on Deb's root beer hard candies. How she finds them, we're not sure, but we do find the wrappers.......

Dinga Roo (DS mix), John's Goddaughter and Tyson's twin,
and Morgan too (Retriever/GSD mix).
Loving memories of our GSD Charly who passed at 17 years. (4/18/13).

- Tell us about yourself: Hi, I am Jacquie and my Dutch Shepherd is Kima. My boyfriend and I adopted her at 7 1/2 weeks old and she is now just about 5 months old. Do not have papers for her. Mother was a pure Belgium Malinois and father pure Dutch Shepard. Troy (boyfriend) is a dog trainer. We also have a 3 1/2 yr. old pitbull named Tito. She definitely keeps him on his toes! First time owner of this breed and just want to learn as much as I can about it and how to be the best owner I can be for her.

Our Dutch Shepherd is so smart she knows how to pull the lock knob up from inside the van sliding door and then slide the door open, all with her teeth!! Absolutely hates missing out on anything!!!
