KONG black ball replacement

Post by Owned-By-Hendrix »

So this is totally random BUT Hendrix LOVES his Kong Extreme black ball. He plays with it every day for hours. I was thinking (after a scary few hours of misplacing it) I should buy a back up ball. Long story short, Kong apparently changed the design of their balls to have holes and H refuses to play a ball with a hole in it. So I'm looking for a replacement ball - about the same size and weight as the Kong Medium Extreme ball. Anyone have any ideas? Planet Dog Orbee balls are out, as are JW balls. Basically looking for a solid rubber ball that bounces. Anyone have any ideas on places to look or brands they like?

I didn't realize Kong had discontinued the balls without a hole :|

I have two of the red balls and they've lasted forever, but if I see the solid ones at any stores from now on, I am going to pick them up.

What was KONG thinking???

Thor prefers the feel of his teeth sinking into a ball, too...unless he's made them: Will. Not. Play. With. Hole-y. Balls.

That sucks. Odin will easily pick apart a ball with holes. Kong at least had a fighting chance.

As for replacements, Go-nuts has one without holes, but it does have lines across it. If you have a menards nearby, they had some awesome solid rubber balls that Elli loves by masterpaws. They're not quite durable for Odin to run away with, but they last during fetch.

Yeah... Major Kong fail... I've searched all places that carry it in town with 0 luck of finding a non-hole-y ball.

I don't think we have a Menard's here... I did stumble across their website while searching... maybe they would ship?

Also for anyone looking it appears EliteK9's solid yellow rubber balls may also be a good substitute.

I have a hole-less black KONG ball I'd be willing to part with. Feel free to PM me.
