Tell us about yourself: I'm a postdoc at UC Davis studying stem cells and immunology. My husband and I just adopted a mixed shelter dog that I suspect is a Dutch Shepherd mix. We're both first-time dog owners though we grew up with them and are excited to learn about training and dog handling to help Argus grow into his best possible dog. Whatever mix he is we love him to bits!

Hello,
I just rescued a beautiful dog that we suspect is a DS mix :). He's about 10 months old and 55 lbs, he lived most of his life in the shelter in Tulare, but you'd never know it by his disposition, he's very social and loves every person and dog he meets. My husband and I are really excited to continue his training and work towards the Canine Good Citizen test and maybe even the Therapy dog certification. He's such a sweet guy, we are so happy and looking forward to many years of love and laughter with him.
Rescued is my favorite breed <3

Tell us about yourself: DS and Mal foster newly approved aug'12 by NADSR and ABMCR. high-functioning Autistic in nyc/hamptons in my 60's. Rescued the smartest dog i had ever seen off nyc street in 2000. Tracedog's intelligence exceeded by multiples my judgement that day. My first [and only as of 10/2012] dog turned out to be a DS, perhaps with a touch of something else, but attention to detail, behavioral traits, and physical habits, movement, and skill identical to DS. But MUCH more intellectual ability. supremely confident in all settings, fearless, very outgoing and social with people and friendly with dogs. Seldom apart in over 12 years, Trace Dog was the most important relationship of my adult life; he was my partner.
