Looking For Photos

Post by centrop67 »

I like the idea of rotating images to keep the site fresh, but the world is likely to get tired of Radar's mug, eventually.

I am currently accepting photo submissions to be used in the title header of this site, the Facebook profile picture, and the Facebook cover photo.

If you're interested, please submit your photo on this thread. By doing so, you give me permission to use the photo for the locations stated above. You can rescind permission at any time, and I will remove your photo. You must have the rights to the photo you supply.

I will probably have to crop or re-size the image to fit the placement, and I may adjust the photo with a filter.

Thanks.
Michael

I am having difficulty adjusting pics to fit the title of this page.

Basically, I need a photo that the width is three times the height to make it work.

sorry that the quality isnt great it was taken with an iphone instead of my cannon during the autumn (and is cropped from a portrait photo),
was just changing the header photo for my twitter and a few other things and remembered you needed a photo that would fit similar dimensions.
if its suitable and demon looks okay you have my permission to use it for whatever you like:) if i find a better quality version or something better ill be sure to post it

Thanks everyone who have posted or emailed me pictures. I just want to let you know that I have no set schedule for using the photos, so don't be discouraged if you don't see them used right away.

Without being unappreciative of you sharing your photos with me, I want to inform you that vertical pictures are a challenge for formatting and fit (including the photo contest).

That doesn't mean I don't want them, but maybe it will make you think about holding the phone sideways for that next snapshot - thanks.

I did see the mention of it earlier. Those were just the clearest pics I had on the phone. Thanks for the heads up though, I'll definitely keep it in mind for future pics.

It's the Ray Allen one with the cobra buckle and handle. I love the buckle but honestly, the handle is a bit of a joke. Especially on her small neck. I did have to cut the Velcro loose and re-stitch it on one side to fit her securely. On a larger neck, the handle would probably be far easier to get your fingers under.

Tell us about yourself: Howdy,
We are a family of rescues, (yeah, me included), in Southern California. My wife and I currently have two dogs, a Golden Retriever/ GSD mix by the name of Morgan, and our DS mix(?), Dinga Roo. We had never even heard of a Dutch Shepherd before until we were stalked by this nice lady in the pet store who asked us if Roo was a DS. Dang if that lady wasn't on to something. I just found this site, so here we are....

Roo's in. Just have to roll through more pictures of her than I have of my kids. If I have posted any on here that you like, by all means, knock yourself out.
Kevin, Debby,
Dinga Roo (DS mix), John's Goddaughter and Tyson's twin,
and Morgan too (Retriever/GSD mix).
Loving memories of our GSD Charly who passed at 17 years. (4/18/13).

Tell us about yourself: I am in New York State. Got my first DS about 14 years ago (more or less as a rescue- lost her in Nov.). After years of GSD's, and a few dogs of other breeds (Rotti/Beauceron/Ger. Shorthaired Pointer/ Yorkie and my current Jack Russell) I now have another DS, 4mo female, no name yet, tho I have a few in mind.
Also have a horse-old quarter horse mare-32.
Can't wait for all the snow to get gone! Spring is coming too slow this year!
