Getting crafty

Post by wahinelf »

I had no one else to enjoy this with me. I'm sorry, I have to share it with you all. I made Ellie a collar that has a snap attachment and sewed the other half of the snap onto some silk flowers. I'm delighted at the results. Ellie could care less.

Also, poor quality photos taken on my phone. The rose attachment and the carnation attachment. She looks so feminine.

I swear, I do exciting and enriching things with her too. There just isn't time to photograph it.

Tell us about yourself: I adopted a Dutch Shepherd mix (without knowing what she was) from the SPCA here in Victoria BC and am now trying to learn everything I can about this breed. My husband and I work from home most of the time so I thought it was time to get a puppy! We have his 2 boys here half the time and we wanted a nice family dog.

Sugar looks like a miniature Dutch Shepherd with floppy ears, and has every ounce of DS traits in her little body!

I hope to learn from other DS owners and share doggy experiences.

Very cute. My nieces kept putting a flower in Sugar's collar but it kept falling out...they would have loved this.Maybe you've got a good biz idea

Tell us about yourself: Lifelong animal person- I professionally trained horses before my children were born. New to DS's, but not new to high drive working dogs. :) Currently have a 1 1/2 yr old DS, Koenig, and a 2 yr old English Pointer Sara. They are both rescues. Oh yes, I work at a multi species non-profit animal rescue, on Bainbridge Island, WA

Fantastic!!!!

I'm a groomer, and we make silk flowers with rubber bands, to add the finishing touches on many of our groom dogs. I never thought about a snap, for a semi permeant attachment- I love it!!!!!

Tell us about yourself: I am in New York State. Got my first DS about 14 years ago (more or less as a rescue- lost her in Nov.). After years of GSD's, and a few dogs of other breeds (Rotti/Beauceron/Ger. Shorthaired Pointer/ Yorkie and my current Jack Russell) I now have another DS, 4mo female, no name yet, tho I have a few in mind.
Also have a horse-old quarter horse mare-32.
Can't wait for all the snow to get gone! Spring is coming too slow this year!

She doesn't look real impressed, but I think it's cute as heck.

Haha, I took them off her. She surprisingly doesn't notice things around her neck - like bandanas, giant flowers, etc once they're on.
