our beloved Ivil  has had a couple of fine days...

First we did some frisbee-ing on monday in the yard. I toss it, the wind get;s it and it drifts off a bit, Ivil jumps and flies right into....a tree!! She landed in the schrubs underneath, I laughed my ass off!! It was just like in a cartoon, like Wile E. Coyote, >BANG< into the tree, the tree shaking like a trembling stick, and >CRUSH< landing in a schrub, still holding the frisbee ofcourse  I stumbled "good catch Ief"(Ief is short for Ivil)
Don't worry, the tree is fine ;)

Today, it wasn't that funny...
We went biking in the morning as usual, I get my bike, Dingo waits patiently by the door, Ivil goes ballistic "yay biking! yay!!! Biking biking! We're going biking! yay!!!" Image

In her running around, she knocked over Johan's bike that was still in the standard, the whole standard turned and the bike fell down, like in slow motion...hit the spider...
No, not a tiny 8-legged creature...an Alfa Romeo spider... ARG! :o Johan is going to KILL Ivil...

I left him a little note:
Image
Translation: it says "CRIME SCENE"
and Dingo says "you are SO dead Ivil"

the scratch...

the crime scene...

Ivil is so lucky she looks so cute :D
Johan is not TOO idiotic about his car, lucky me... in these cases they always are really MY dogs  but he was not even pissed. I had already told him to attach the standard to the floor once or twice because it already happened once, then I could still catch the bike before it hit the floor...

My word, that is a nasty scratch! Yikes! My hubby would have been furious!! He isnt crazy about the dogs anyway, he only tolerates them. For me personally, I would have just taken the blame for it and not even tell him the dogs did it. I'm a lot easier to forgive.

Very funny story about the tree, but..........omg....the car. That's a really nice car, poor baby!! Perhaps it can be buffed out.

I love love your crime scene poster!! You seem to have a great sense of humor and glad to hear Johan wasn't mad.

Tell us about yourself: I am in New York State. Got my first DS about 14 years ago (more or less as a rescue- lost her in Nov.). After years of GSD's, and a few dogs of other breeds (Rotti/Beauceron/Ger. Shorthaired Pointer/ Yorkie and my current Jack Russell) I now have another DS, 4mo female, no name yet, tho I have a few in mind.
Also have a horse-old quarter horse mare-32.
Can't wait for all the snow to get gone! Spring is coming too slow this year!

Maybe some rubbing compound and then a buff job? Poor Ivil is really having a rough week!

I think what you really need is a "Magic Eraser."

Tell us about yourself: I adopted a Dutch Shepherd mix (without knowing what she was) from the SPCA here in Victoria BC and am now trying to learn everything I can about this breed. My husband and I work from home most of the time so I thought it was time to get a puppy! We have his 2 boys here half the time and we wanted a nice family dog.

Sugar looks like a miniature Dutch Shepherd with floppy ears, and has every ounce of DS traits in her little body!

I hope to learn from other DS owners and share doggy experiences.

Yikes! My hubby is a car guy (he actually had a Spider back in the day) and would NOT be a happy camper. But I think he loves Sugar so much, he would forgive her if that happened here. Hope you guys can get it fixed up.

it's only a scratch, lucky me, not dented. But it is real deep, onto the steel... Johan does all the work on the car himself, so it's just a new little project... It can be fixed, but you will still see it... :?
He forgave us... his fault too, since he didn't listen to me when I mentioned attaching it to the floor ;)

Is there a way to hang the bikes on the wall? It really looks in the pic like being in the way and when it's bolted to the floor humans and dogs could get hurt tripping over it. Just my :twocents:

P.S.: I wouldn't call it a scratch but a "stripe". With some more you have a Dutch Spider.

It's not in the way when it's in it's original position ;) It turned a quarter (does that make sense?)

and...not sure Johan likes the idea of a brindled spider  :?
