I had a GSD/collie cross and a border collie growing up. A year or so after my border girl passed away I happened to leave work just in time to see what I thought was a GSD (but was actually a gorgeous dutch
) running back and forth thru traffic, right at rush hour. She kept trying to follow people who were walking by but everyone ignored her. I pulled over and got her into my car. She was very submissive and anxious. It was clear she had been in an abusive situation, any sudden movement and she'd cringe and/or run, and forget leaving her alone, she'd go nuts! I've had her 2 years now and she's a completely different dog. So sweet and loving and just full of energy!
