So while I might not have a dog yet, I'm still interested in checking out some dog sport shows nearby! Generally my work schedule is known a month to two months in advance so I always hear about events too late to check them out, or don't hear about them at all. I don't belong to any sort of club and I don't personally know anyone who gives a flip about anything other than confirmation show rings. So if you're in the Northern part of OH and know of any shows coming up in late spring and summer I'd love to check them out.
((I didn't know exactly where to post this since I'm not looking for specific sporting events))

Re: OH or MI shows?
I'm in South Eastern, MI
My planned shows so far (if you want to watch me and my Dutch(es)) are:
Columbus, OH 3/30 Cynosport Rally
Montpelier, Ohio UKC agility 4/25
St. Johns, MI Capital City UKC Nosework 5/16,5/17 (lots of Dutch here)
Williamston, MI UKC agility 6/6, 6/7
St. Johns, MI French Ring Trial, maybe going for CSAU with Elli 9/12
I will be hosting 2 Cynosport Rally trials in Hadley, MI along with a UKC Nosework trial this year, but don't have dates set yet. If you want to volunteer for those
you could get close to the action and I'd even give you the privilege of walking Elli
. I'd ideally like to get Elli's BH and AKC Beginner Novice obedience title this year too, but they're not really that much of a priority.
My brother in law in Cleveland is getting into agility, so I might be adding more Ohio agility shows if I get down to teaching Elli the weaves correctly. There's also a ton of agility shows in my town (Lapeer, MI) that we'll likely be adding once real weaving becomes a reality.
If you're looking for a ton of dog stuff, check out the UKC Premier in Kalamazoo June 10th-14th. You'll see every sport (apart from the bite sports) and tons of dogs including a lot of Dutch Shepherds. I'm not sure if we'll be competing in anything as it's a big show for my guys and they're not too social and the agility set-up is less than ideal, but it's great for spectators!

Re: OH or MI shows?
I will definitely be requesting some of those days off so that I can attend a couple of events! While I'd love to volunteer at an event, I'm 100% entirely new to this. >_> I wouldn't know what to do! Thank you ^___^
