Facebook page.Hi everyone! We are from north Texas. I recently brought a puppy home from the shelter. We thought he was just a Heinz 57 until his ears started to stand up. Sometimes he has a shepherd look to him so we did a little research and found the Dutch shepherd breed. Looks like a great breed. I have an affinity for intelligent dogs although all so far have been mixed rescues. We think our pup is about 4-5 months old. I have some pics under is my canine a Dutch shepherd. This looks like a very supportive community. Thanks for having us!

- Tell us about yourself: Hi there! Just rescued this sweet pup didn't think he was anything but a mutt until his ears started to go up and realized he might be a Dutch mix. My grandparents raised Belgian Malinois. In the past I have had cattle dogs and am looking forward to another intelligent dog!

- Tell us about yourself: I am a long time dog enthusiast but first time Dutch Shepherd owner. Logan is a KNPV bred Dutch Shepherd and great grandson of the great Arko Kikkert. He's by far the most demanding dog I've ever had but also by far the most rewarding.

Good luck with your new K9. No matter what the breed or X enjoy him as he is. As to a Dutch I would say with a great amount of certainty that he is not.

Super adorable pup! I agree with Roger, I don't see any Dutch Shepherd in there. Heinz 57 sounds right, and IME, mutts make awesome pets. Enjoy your new pup!
