Facebook page.Hi, my name is Kate and I've lurked these forums for a bit and finally decided to join.
I adopted a ~1yo pup this summer named Miesha. We don't know her breed for sure, but she looked like a Dutch Shepherd to me and the rescue had her listed as a DS or a DS mix. They said she was probably too small not to be a mix, but we have no clue what shes mixed with. When I got her she was 30-35 lbs, sick with kennel cough (to the point where she almost got pneumonia) and very underfed. Healthy now shes 50ish lbs and an absolute terror to stuffed doggy toys everywhere. Shes hasn't stopped adding weight, but it looks like shes leveling out now.
She was very shy when we first got her, but has developed quite a personality since. She still tends to be shy meeting new dogs and people, but always behaves herself.
I'll add some pictures as soon as I transfer them to my computer (hopefully not TOO many haha).
Not sure what else to say, so I guess if you have any questions, go ahead and ask!

- Tell us about yourself: My name is Kate, I live in California and I adopted a lovely puppy (estimated about 12 months) this June from a German Shepherd rescue. They had her listed as DS or DS mix, and she's pretty darn awesome IMO. Her name is Miesha, if the initial guess on her age is correct shes 1yr 5mo old now. Shes a little shy around strangers, but adores myself and my roommates...once she warms up to people she tends to think they're pretty great too. She loves other dogs, but shys away from big, aggressive ones. If she had her way, she'd walk in my footsteps everywhere we go-unless she smells something interesting, or a cat runs by/bird flys across her path. Currently shes working really hard on discovering where the red dot went (I bought a laser pointer a couple days ago and shes working hard to kill the batteries chasing it around our home).

Welcome to the forum! My she is very striking! She certainly looks very DS - if she's a mix it's hard to tell.
