Tell us about yourself: I adopted a Dutch Shepherd mix (without knowing what she was) from the SPCA here in Victoria BC and am now trying to learn everything I can about this breed. My husband and I work from home most of the time so I thought it was time to get a puppy! We have his 2 boys here half the time and we wanted a nice family dog.

Sugar looks like a miniature Dutch Shepherd with floppy ears, and has every ounce of DS traits in her little body!

I hope to learn from other DS owners and share doggy experiences.

Tell us about yourself: I have had a DS for almost a year. Gwen and I are considering participating in PSA and or possible Ring Sport. I also have a Great Dane. I have grown up around working GSDs and my last GSD was a working K9 officer. I am all about dogs and animals in general and want to learn as much as I can about training.

Awww! It's so much more challenging to take pics of two animals, vs. one. You get one sitting nicely and looking the way you want, and the other moves...then vice versa. Nice job!

Thanks guys, Thalie is easy, she will sit all day for the camera. I had moved to the other direction and thalie turned to face the new direction. Sadie was pretty good until my daughter came out, then she ran over to play.

oh, look at that! Sugar used to have a black section on her tail that looked like a heart, but not anymore.

I also love how she has her head cocked. Isn't that the cutest when they do that?

I love the countenance of your older dog. Calm...casual...all's okay...no sweat...whatever, man.

Your "little" goofball is aaaallll about try to vogue! The head one way, that one back leg arced out, the two front legs apart...like a teenaged model who is earnest in her runway presentation while not quite having the moves of her seasoned mentor.

Nice photos.
Though I can only hope to become the person who my animals believe I am, the things that they have taught me have made me a better human being. ~~~Sharon~~~

Lonnie was like that. Gwen and Izar would be ooohhh ahhhhh look at that... and Lonnie would get this disgusted look on his face and walk away.
